LG30.179 is a stable single cross hybrid. Originally bred as early grain maize but performed exceptionally well in silage trials. It produces big yields of very high starch silage. Yield is higher than Glory and Ambition, silage quality is also better. The performance of LG30.179 was impressive in the cool season of 2015.

It was also the best performing variety in Field Options trials in the challenging drought of 2018.  It has a high degree of stability.  Pollination is very high producing full grain cobs across all sites. LG30.179 is popular across Denmark, Germany and Northern France for silage and grain.
