Emblem

Emblem

Bred by Limagrain, Emblem is an impressive hybrid with exceptional forage quality characteristics. The high ME comes from an unusual combination high starch content and very high fibre digestibility. It also performs well right across north-west Europe. It has been consistent and stable in yield, earliness and quality during the last six years including the challenging season of 2015.

Arcade

Arcade

Arcade has shown impressive stability over recent seasons, it has even performed well in Northern Ireland. Its stability was noted in the challenging season of 2015 when many varieties in this earliness class failed to reach full maturity. It consistently produces good starch levels and high ME because of its high grain yield and excellent fibre digestibility. Arcade is in the same group as Ambition and Glory, but more stable and better value for money.

Severus

Severus

Severus is an exciting new hybrid from KWS. Listed in 2013, its early vigour is impressive helping it to outperform other varieties in cool seasons like 2012. Severus flowers nearly as early as Kaspian, but grows on to produce 2-3 tonnes more silage per acre. Grain development is early, similar to Lapriora. Ripening is faster, but without the sudden leaf dry down of associated with Kaspian. It was outstanding in 2011, 2012 and 2013. Severus looks to be setting a new standard of yield, earliness and most importantly, reliability.
